Marton 48
Guys, I have a strong suspicion that SOCKS5 proxies are not working in Ubot. I've tested this in 4.2.20 and also in 5.5.1 I've been at it for hours, and I just couldn't get any SOCKS5 proxy working (tried various public and private socks). Then I wanted to get some definite answer, so I installed Handy Cache (local proxy server), and I simulated a SOCKS4 proxy with it. I got it working using this syntax: (click on image to enlarge please) Strangely, it also works with: (keep in mind that this is for a SOCKS4 proxy) But it doesn't work with (strange again): Then I simulated a SOCKS5 proxy, and it doesn't work with any of the above formats. At all. It works in Chrome/Firefox though, so I'm quite confident I set it up correctly. There have already been discussion about this (even on this forum), and I never saw anyone who could actually get it working. What do you guys think? Has anyone ever had any luck with SOCKS 5 ? Marton p.s.: I had to use image to add the code, because every line with the socks code was deleted for some reason (no matter how I tried, even as code)
robchroma 0
When I originally started using ubot I tried using socks proxies as well. Short story, uBot does not support SOCKS proxies, only HTTP/HTTPS proxies.
