How long to download 6K email with aol imap?
I’m pretty sure the script is setup correctly as I can login and download the welcome message. But I have let it run for 15 minutes or so and I’m still waiting just seems to slow to be working right

6k emails in outlook takes quite a while, so im assuming it would work the same way when loading them to ubot.

Yer i got them in the end but i'm not confident i downloaded the intire inbox
I have a feeling i only got the first page
As i have never setup a imap download before i just used the create table command and save that as a .txt file
But i only got 170 confirmation links from 6k of emails it seems light to me
Time for a manual review i think

try it with your debugger menu open.

watch how many are added to the table you create from the emails.

and see how many emails are pulled in.
then you know that when you loop through the table to pull the links you know how many are in the table to start with to confirm its working properly.

that way when you go to use it compiled, you know it works in the development area, and will perform the same way as a compiled bot.

try it with your debugger menu open.

I let it run for over an hour then I got bored waiting
So I set up a email account with a different provider which has imap support
Tested the imap download, worked ok
Registered up 1000 new accounts and had the emails sent to the new email provider
But once again when I tried to down load these with the imap command it was so slow I aborted it, (time I waited 30 min’s)
Login into the mail server showed the inbox total of 859 emails and unread mail as 731
My conclusion is its faster to loop through a pop3 address
I don’t know if its ubot problem or the email providers but both where large company’s

Update for AOL you need to use port 933 with SLL, port 143 works for a few emails but not a big batch

As most email providers seem to give two ports this is probably the same across the board
