#47044 [FREE] Hotmail Account Creator - Now with Proxy support

Posted by a2mateit on 26 January 2012 - 12:51 PM

Hello,

I have seen alot of people sharing a lot of things lately.

So I thought it would be fitting to share my Hotmail Account Creator.

It will continue looping until it creates the number of accounts that you specify. It is multi-threaded so you can easily create accounts super quickly.

But that's not all. After the account is created it will create a new rule to send all emails to your inbox. This will help greatly when confirming accounts.

If this is a great interest I will add proxy support to be able to really create ton's of accounts as hotmail has a temp ip ban when creating to many accounts.

Enjoy :)
Attached File  hotmail account creator.ubot   1.52KB   61 downloads

Now with proxy support:
Attached File  hotmail account creator.ubot   1.61KB   135 downloads

Without threading for Standard Edition users:
Attached File  hotmail account creator no threads.ubot   1.52KB   35 downloads

Cheers,
Justin

Please say thanks if this is of use to you Posted Image

#77109 [FREE] HTML5 Progress Bar Source Code for (STD/PRO/DEV)

Posted by dankass on 08 May 2013 - 09:04 PM

UPDATE - NOW WORKS WITH ALL VERSIONS OF UBOT STUDIO (see below for standard/pro version)

I needed a small progress bar for a project I'm working on and wanted it to be "lightweight" and easy to work with without a lot of 'riff-raff'.

It worked so well I thought I'd share it with all of you. I've attached code and .ubot file.

Notes:

  • This is accomplished using HTML5
  • Displays in HTML UI Panel (Dev Only)
  • Updated to display rounded numbers in %
set(#progress, 0, "Global")
ui html panel("<body>
<progress variable=\"#progress\" fillwith=\"value\" max=\"100\" style=\"width:300px;\"></progress>
<b><span variable=\"#progress\" fillwith=\"innerhtml\"></span>%</b>
</body>", "")
set(#looptotal, 17, "Global")
set(#loopcount, 1, "Global")
loop(#looptotal) {
    load html("Loop: {#loopcount} of {#looptotal}")
    set(#progress, $eval("var tmp1 =  {$multiply($divide(#loopcount, #looptotal), 100)}; tmp2 = Math.floor(tmp1);
tmp2"), "Global")
    increment(#loopcount)
}

Cheers!

UPDATE:  Now Works with Standard and PRO

Figured out a nice workaround for the Ubot Studio Standard & Pro folks to stick this in the regular UI panel.  See code below, or download the HTML5ProgressbarSTD.ubot file for STD or PRO users.

set(#progress, 0, "Global")
ui stat monitor("<progress value=\"{#progress}\" max=\"100\"></progress>", "{#progress}%")
set(#looptotal, 17, "Global")
set(#loopcount, 1, "Global")
loop(#looptotal) {
    load html("Loop: {#loopcount} of {#looptotal}")
    set(#progress, $eval("var tmp1 =  {$multiply($divide(#loopcount, #looptotal), 100)}; tmp2 = Math.floor(tmp1);
tmp2"), "Global")
    increment(#loopcount)
}

#63476 [Tutorial] How To Solve Flash Captcha's

Posted by a2mateit on 11 November 2012 - 09:20 PM

Posted Image

Hello Fellow Botters,

Have you ever spent precious hours of time automating flash sites with Image Recognition only to get stuck on the captcha? Are you tired of feeling like there are some sites that are just to hard to automate?

Well I have good news for you then because those days are finally over! That's right, in this tutorial I am going to show you how to tackle the once thought impossible flash captcha such as the one found at pinger.com/tfw

I originally though about selling this solution but decided that this community is just to awesome to try and charge for this information. So I am going to share it with you all for Free as my way of saying thank you to all who have helped me and the past, and presumably in the future as well.

For this tutorial I am going to be using the site pinger.com/tfw for the example site.

Posted Image

Step 1: The first thing we need to do is take a screenshot of the page that has the captcha we will be solving. So in this instance we will open our default internet browser and take a screenshot of the page with the captcha we are trying to solve. I will not go into details on how to do this, because I assume you already know how to do this.

Next we will go to an online image editing website (still in your default internet browser). In this example we will use online-image-editor.com. Upload the screenshot and then click on crop. The point of this is to find exact co-ordinates of the captcha on the page. Crop in the captcha and take note of the height, width, x-offset, and y-offset. Write this down because we will need it later.

Example Picture:Posted Image

Step 2: Now what we will do is to create a define command called solve captcha. This can then be called later in your code when you need to solve a captcha. Next we will have Ubot create a folder on the desktop named captcha.

You can name it whatever you want and place it wherever you want as well. But for the sake of this tutorial we will call it captcha and place it on the desktop.

Example Code:
define Solve Captcha {create folder($special folder("Desktop"), "Captcha")}

Example Picture:
Posted Image

Step 3: Now we need to save a browser image of the page you are currently on to the folder we created in the first step. If you are calling the captcha define you should already be on the page with the captcha you are needing solved.

Example Code:
define Solve Captcha {create folder($special folder("Desktop"), "Captcha")save browser image ("{$special folder("Desktop")}\\Captcha\\captcha.jpg")}

Example Picture:
Posted Image

Step 4: Now we will use the in new browser command and navigate to online-image-editor.com. In this example we will clear the cookies and turn visibility to invisible.

Example Code:
define Solve Captcha {create folder($special folder("Desktop"), "Captcha")save browser image("{$special folder("Desktop")}\\Captcha\\captcha.jpg")in new browser { clear cookies set visibility("Invisible") navigate("http://www.online-image-editor.com/", "Wait")}}

Example Picture:
Posted Image

Step 5: Now we will upload the screenshot to online-image-editor.com that we took in step 3. Use the change file field command to choose the captcha.jpg picture. Then click on upload to upload the picture. Next insert a wait for element to make sure the picture is fully loaded before proceeding.

Example Code:
define Solve Captcha { create folder($special folder("Desktop"), "Captcha") save browser image("{$special folder("Desktop")}\\Captcha\\captcha.jpg") in new browser { clear cookies set visibility("Invisible") navigate("http://www.online-image-editor.com/", "Wait") wait for element(, 300, "Appear") change file field(, "{$special folder("Desktop")}\\Captcha\\Captcha.jpg") click($element offset(, 1), "Left Click", "No") wait for element(, "", "Appear") }}

Step 6: Now that the picture is upload to online-image-editor.com we will crop out the captcha using the heigth, width, x-offset, and y-offset that we gathered in step 1. Use the change attribute command to change the attribute of the heigth, width, x-offset, and y-offset that we gathered in step 1 and click on the crop button.

Example Code:
define Solve Captcha { create folder($special folder("Desktop"), "Captcha") save browser image("{$special folder("Desktop")}\\Captcha\\captcha.jpg") in new browser { clear cookies set visibility("Invisible") navigate("http://www.online-image-editor.com/", "Wait") wait for element(, 300, "Appear") change file field(, "{$special folder("Desktop")}\\Captcha\\Captcha.jpg") click($element offset(, 1), "Left Click", "No") wait for element(, "", "Appear") click(, "Left Click", "No") wait for element(, "", "Appear") change attribute(, "value", 190) change attribute(, "value", 61) change attribute(, "value", 377) change attribute(, "value", 499) click(, "Left Click", "No") wait for element(, "", "Appear") click(, "Left Click", "No") wait(3) wait for browser event("Everything Loaded", "") }}

Step 7: Now the captcha has been singled out. It is the only picture remaining on the screen. We will now use the set variable to set the variable #captcha. Use the solve captcha button and select the picture. Now later when you go to enter your captcha, you will just use the #captcha variable. And voila... We have successfully solved a flash captcha!

Full Code Example:
define Captcha Command { create folder($special folder("Desktop"), "Captcha") save browser image("{$special folder("Desktop")}\\Captcha\\captcha.jpg") wait(3) in new browser { clear cookies set visibility("Invisible") navigate("http://www.online-image-editor.com/", "Wait") wait for element(, 300, "Appear") change file field(, "{$special folder("Desktop")}\\Captcha\\Captcha.jpg") click($element offset(, 1), "Left Click", "No") wait for element(, "", "Appear") click(, "Left Click", "No") wait for element(, "", "Appear") change attribute(, "value", 190) change attribute(, "value", 61) change attribute(, "value", 377) change attribute(, "value", 499) click(, "Left Click", "No") wait for element(, "", "Appear") click(, "Left Click", "No") wait(3) wait for browser event("Everything Loaded", "") set(#captcha, $solve captcha(), "Global") }}

I really hope that many of you will find this guide useful as I spent quite a bit of time whipping it up for you guys. Thanks for all your help in the past, present, and future. Just my way of showing my appreciation to this awesome community!

#52731 UI HTML PANEL CODE GENERATOR

Posted by addamroy on 11 May 2012 - 07:43 PM

I made this for myself, after wanting a quick/easy way to code up the HTML for my UI HTML PANELS.

This bot will create the HTML for you, for every UI element you might put in the UI HTML PANEL.

You choose your UI element type, set the label, set the variable, and set the values (for drop downs and list boxes.)

Click generate code and it will show you an example of your UI element, and the HTML to copy/paste into your bot or html editor.

It will generate the HTML for the following types of UI elements, no reference required if you have this bot:

Text box
Block text
Check box
Open file
Save file
Drop down
List box
Stat Monitor
Button (when generating a button, enter your DEFINE COMMAND name in the variable field.)

This bot isn't an amazing feat but certainly made life alot easier for me when creating UI HTML Panels.

Here's the ubot source code, version 4 dev (just compile your own bot from it and you're golden.):

Credit for research and output goes to JohnB (for the stat monitor tutorial on his site) and UbotBuddy who posted the PDF reference in another thread, http://ubotstudio.co...h__1#entry40512

I just put the output in a bot for each element type to make life easier.

Enjoy!

#28018 Multi-Tasking in UbotStudio - Take it and Bake it !

Posted by Praney Behl on 18 January 2011 - 12:01 AM

Hi you peeps out there,

This is for everyone of those fellows, who are still scratching their heads on how to use the "thread" command in Ubot to achieve Multi-Tasking their tasks. I know there are many pros there, who are already using thread command in there bots or are working on the implementation of such a technique to their existing bots.

There could be numerous ways to do this, but I thought I'll take the pain to bring it to all of you in a simple way.

I have compiled this script from various resources on this forum and some from my own experiences and tweaks. Thanks to the members who have contributed in it. It is a very basic script which adds a list of keywords and asks the user for - how many threads to run, and searches Bing for that particular keyword and navigates to the next 3 pages if any.

Note: I have restricted this script to use only a maximum of 4 threads at once. This is just due to the smaller size of the list. I have so far tried a list of over 700+ and 25 consecutive threads. I did have a few minor problems running that many threads, but I will discuss them later on in this post.

The no. of threads determine the individual browser windows performing a set of tasks.

Then it divides the the main list into equal or similar no.s of keywords for each thread.

As much as I like to discuss it in detail I am unable to do it due to time limitation but I'll will be around, and won't mind helping if you have queries.

So throw your views and ideas on the table. I am sure everyone here will have something to contribute and its only an initial learning curve for many of us.

So people point out if you get stuck somewhere, there are many members here to help each other.

I would like to know how are you guys doing or thinking of using this command. Maybe throw in ideas on how would you like to use it and I'll try and throw in the code for it if I could or else as i mentioned before, there are many pros here, whom I think will not mind to solve your problem.

I hope this post helps you understand thread command better.

Say thanks if its of any help to you. Posted Image

Cheers!

Praney ;)

Mods. : You may wanna sticky this post for future reference and discussion.

P.S. Please keep this thread for discussion about the "Multi-Tasking"/"Multi-Threading"/"Using Thread command" ONLY. There are several threads out there but none make much sense and then they get distracted to other topics. Please refer to other topics by providing a link to the thread. Let keep it clean.

Edit: Bug fix, updated script at : http://ubotstudio.co...dpost__p__28066

#67266 [REGEX Explained] Match (extract) URLs

Posted by VaultBoss on 08 January 2013 - 10:39 AM

I thought this may be interesting for many applications.

Let's build together a REGEX to grab ALL URLs (links) from a page or text.

Links may start with http (and sometimes https) or eventually whatever else you may need, say, for instance ftp OR they may lack that at all and be written the old fashion way with only a www. etc...

So our expression should start looking to match this at the beginning of the substring:

(ftp|http) --> (the | means OR) so basically either starts with ftp OR http and the parenthesis () will enclose them to be considered a group;

however, we may have also https, so we can code that in two ways (either add another or: |  OR add an extra last optional s, like this:

(http|https) OR https? where the ? means the previous character/group repeated zero or one times (in other words, it's optional)

So the starting code becomes now:
(http|https?)

that should be followed by the common (for all variants) :// which translates to:

((ftp|https?):\/\/) <-- where you can see the forward slashes had to be escaped first to be correctly interpreted as characters by the regex engine.  Of course, all this composition had to be grouped together again (with the extra external set of parenthesis) to keep it all together.

The string continues with or without a www. as we all know (a few years ago it was all present) which in fact is nothing else but a subdomain of the main domain, but nevermind that now.

So we need to add the optional www. like this:

(www\.)?  <-- Notice the period (dot) had to be escaped, to instruct the regex engine we mean it literally, or else it would have been interpreted as 'any character'.

Also note that the whole thing is optional, so in order to apply the question mark ? that means 'previous is optional' we needed to group the whole thing with parenthesis (), or else the ? would have appllied only to the last character (the dot in this case) - which would have been wrong...

So far, the expression would find any string that starts like any of the following matrix:

There is one small problem though - some links may start with only www. (no http, etc..) so we need to address that too before we move on along the string.

While adding the www. starting as an option would have been easy using the ? again, which would have worked IF the string had that starting combo, the issue would be that in most cases such a regex would return many unwanted substrings, IF the www. is missing altogether.

So basically, this time we need to use the | operator to alternate the options, like this...

  • on the left goes everything we built before:_ ((ftp|https?):\/\/)(www\.)?
  • on the right only the www. alone:_______________________ (www\.)
  • ultimately giving us:___________________ (((ftp|https?):\/\/)(www\.)?|www\.)

---------

Now that we have the starting part of the substring let's build the part that goes till the tld, inclusively.

Here we can have either a simple domain name followed by its tld (.com .biz etc) OR maybe we have subdomains before the domain (such as www is, but could be many other cases)

The domain and subdomain parts may have alphanumeric charaters, also they may contain signs like - (hyphen) or _ (underscore) but they must not have spaces, or else we would consider the string (link) has ended there.

The various subdomains, the actual domain name and the last piece, the tld may also contain (be separated by) dots.

Here is how we tell the regex engine all about this...

Let's first build a class that has all the above mentioned elements in it:

  • digits -----------> for regex, that is an escaped d like so:  \d
  • letters ---------> the a-z group <-- notice in this case the - hyphen between a and z has another meaning (everything FROM a to z)
  • hyphens -------> literally, as in - sign
  • underscores --> _
  • dots ------------> .

Everything gets surrounded by the [] square parenthesis, which (unlike the round ones that simply mean logical grouping) have the significance of defining a class, instead:

[\da-z-_\.]

However, this group may appear once or more times, but never be missed, so this time we cannot use the ? and we will use the + modifier instead (meaning once or more):

([\da-z-_\.]+)

Once we finish with the subdomain(s).domain construction, the last piece will be the tld (meaning 'top level domain', something like:

  • com
  • org
  • co.uk
  • co.mobi

etc...

Notice the last piece was ending with the dot, so we don't need to add it here.  We start with what the substring may contain, in this case, no more digits, underscores, hyphens and the like, but ONLY letters and the occasional dot on composite multilevel tlds combined with ctlds (Country Top Level Domains, like .us, .uk, etc...)

Our new class for the ©tld should be:

[a-z\.]

          however, there are a minimum and maximum limit to the number of characters (at least for now), no tld being less than 2 characters in length (.co) most being 3 (.com) some even 4 (.mobi) but also the combos (.co.uk OR .co.mobi) being able to raise that limit upto 7 characters (including the dot in the middle) maximum.

So our code will limit the number of repetitions between 2 and 7 inside our group, using the curly brackets {} this way:

([a-z\.]{2,7})

Basically, our regex expression now changed to this:

(((ftp|https?):\/\/)(www\.)?|www\.)([\da-z-_\.]+)([a-z\.]{2,7})

-----------

Next we need to add the expressions to match the actual structure of subfolders+files+parameters of the link itself.

We will have groups containing basically anything except for a space now, separated with / slashes now and then, so let's start building it...

  • starts with a forward slash (needs to be escaped): \
    followed by
  • any 'word' character/group written as an escaped w:  \w
    could be followed by (or contain):
    • \.   a . dot (escaped)
    • -    a - hyphen
    • _   a _ underscore
    • \?  a ? question mark (escaped)
    • \&  a & ampersand (escaped)

[\/\w\.-_\?\&]

The thing is, any character in this class as well as the group itself can appear once or a number of times... but also can be missed altogether (as we might match UTLs ending just after the domain name, with no subfolders/files whatsoever, right?

Therefore this time, we repeat both the character class AND the group using the * instead of either ? or + as before, as * means repeat zero or more times the previous character/group:

[\/\w\.-_\?\&]* --- >  ([\/\w\.-_\?\&]*)*

The & (ampersand) and ? (question mark) as literal signs are included because there are tracking links using parameters, like this:  ~~~whatever domain here followed by~~~.com/index.php?a=ablatss&u=gyegye_123
that we want to match as well.

And finally, as sometimes these links end with \/ forward slash (needs to be escaped) - meaning it's a subfolder that probably contains an index.html (or .php etc) that will be loaded automatically there - we need to add it at the end, but only as an option.

So here we shall use the ? modifier once again:

([\/\w\.-_\?\&]*)*\/?

-----------

Let's put together all the code again, one more (last) time:

(((ftp|https?):\/\/)(www\.)?|www\.)([\da-z-_\.]+)([a-z\.]{2,7})([\/\w\.-_\?\&]*)*\/?

I truly think this covers all bases, but you guys give it a try too and if there are unmatched exceptions, let me know, maybe we can improve it together.

Enjoy!

ui drop down("Thread Count", "2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10", #num threads)
ui text box("Number of accounts", #number accounts)
set(#num created, 0, "Global")
set(#used threads, 0, "Global")
loop(#number accounts) {
loop while($comparison(#used threads, ">=", #num threads)) {
wait(1)
}
loop process()
}
define loop process {
increment(#used threads)
increment(#num created)
registration procedure()
}
define registration procedure {
thread {

#60086 [FREE] Search Bot for Newbies Searching Ubot Forum

Posted by a2mateit on 17 September 2012 - 11:19 PM

Hello All,

Due to the influx of newbies posting questions that have already been answered previously, I have decided to create this handy dandy little bot to search the ubot forums.

When I first started out I had alot of troubles searching the forums. Then I discovered this little trick using google that helps greatly when searching the forums.

The reason I created this was to help people who are first starting out from asking un-neccasary questions that have been answered before, sometimes more than once.

To all the newbies out there, please start searching the forum before asking questions... Or be more specific, and not hypo-thetical so we can help you to get your problems solved. The more specific you are in your questions, the easier we will all be able to help you solve your problem!

Here is the source code:
ui text box("What are you searching for", #kw)
navigate("google.com", "Wait")
change attribute(<name="q">, "value", "\"site:ubotstudio.com/forum + {#kw}\"")
click(<name="btnG">, "Left Click", "No")
alert("Here are your search results. Remember to search before asking questions PLEASE!")

And the bot in .ubot form:
Attached File  search ubot bot.ubot   917bytes   88 downloads

Don't forget to like this if you think it's a good idea... ;)

#20807 Expression of appreciation to this community!

Posted by Praney Behl on 16 September 2010 - 06:10 PM

Hi Everyone,

I have started this thread today, to express my love for this excellent and growing community.

I joined this community as a Ubot customer, around 3.5 months ago. I can say since then where have been so much development in the Ubot Studio, thanks to the excellent Ubot Team. there have been hard times as a beginner but I kept getting a lot of help from the friendly Ubot Team, and the excellent forum members of which most are my friends now. We discuss our problems with each other, help out and some of us are also working together on large projects.

Not to mention, I think this is the best community I have ever found on the internet. People help each other. I have made so many new friends over here, than ever before. The Ubot staff including you is also very helpful.

I see Ubot has a bright future and maybe further in future the capability to challenge the big software giants sitting out there with the power and easy, of bot development - as a whole new face, lead by you Seth and the helpful Ubot team, also with the support of some of the brilliant fellow/power botters here on this forum.

There are people from around the world who share there excellence in different ways, really like that, and I learn something new every single day. I am a curious creature and and like to get into the depth of anything that troubles me and comes in my way. Hopping onto forum fills me up my curious little mind with a load of excellent ideas to get my problems right.

I am sharing all this to express my love for this community and being a proud member of it. :)

I do understand that implement all the requests/feature/suggestion/bugs from the members of this community is hard to keep up with, but I appreciate the efforts the Ubot team puts on.

Taking part in the above poll will help to point out the members in trouble and I strongly hope will bring to their attention for support.

I am only an apprentice yet but I know there are very experienced players on this forum, I will not mention the names here as most of us already know them. The reason I don't want to mention any name is because I don't want to offend anyone that I miss out on. I will keep adding to this thread from time to time, and hope you all will too. :)

I think I have said enough do not want to exaggerate, but your words will speak here.

I would like to request you all to participate here and Share your views and ideas.

Cheers!

Praney ;)

I would also like to request the mods to sticky this post for newbies to learn and our experiences on this excellent community forum and have patience and trust.

This is a simple php script that I got a programmer to make, for some bots which I planned to make and sell. This would help to protect your bots by doing a simple code/ key validation on your domain. You can use this if you intent to sell any bots that you made, it will check for a valid key in the URL, and then returns a value. You can then prompt the bot to navigate to the page and validate either the "VALID" or "ERROR" text. The keys can be added by you through a simple login panel.

Download script here

I am not sure if this is secure enough (should be.. as the keys are all stored in a database on your server), but it's should be enough for a simple validation at least. Feel free to improve on it and let me know.. :)

#86703 Run Ubot Software on iPhones - Step By Step Tutorial

Posted by Kev on 25 October 2013 - 04:12 AM

How to run software from an iPhone

Ok folks, this is a complete walkthrough on how I set up my software so as people can run their services on their mobile devices whilst the bots run on my VPS or local pc and running 24/7. The end user, or customer, can access the software via a web form integration from their smart phone or any web browser that feeds the data into a MySQL database which the software will read the data from.

Things I use:

A jotform account (http://www.jotform.com and you can get a free account - not an affiliate link). Please note, I bought a jotform package on a "Black Friday" deal last year and it cost $69.50 for two years for the professional package.

PhpMysql (typically found with any half decent hosting plan. I use liquidweb, amongst others for my database and hosting needs.

Here’s the VPS I currently use: http://www.liquidweb.com/managed-vps-hosting/

My local box has 8GB ram and 3GHz processor. Not a big techie when it comes to hardware specs to be honest.

So with the hardware out of the way here’s what I’m going to cover in this tutorial:

How to set up the form and create the database

How I connect and read my data from the form

How to set up the bots to run 24/7

How I handle memory issues

How to set up the form and create the database

Once you’ve set up your jotform account you will need to submit your form to a specific url. This url will tell you what the form looks like in a fashion that will allow you to set up your database. You’ll only ever need to do this one time for each form you want to integrate with your software.

Create a new text file. Inside the text file paste the following code:

<?php
    print_r($_POST);
?>

Now, save that text file and then close it out. Now, rename the file to postdetails.php

Make sure to rename the file extension!

Upload this php file somewhere on your server. I suggest creating a new folder on your linux hosting and drop that file into it. Take note of the path. The url I use (for your reference) is http://eirtime.com/jfsub/postdetails.php

Ok, now go create your web form.

For this example let’s just create two fields: your name and your email address. Go do that inside jotform now.

Once you’ve created your form go to: Preferences > Advanced Settings > Send Post Data - YES

Click Close Settings.

Click on the Thank You button at the top. Select Custom URL. In there place the URL to your postdetails.php file.

Now preview your form and submit your data.

You should see something very similar to this on the thank you page:

Array ( [submission_id] => 248504684902184300 [formID] => 32973029077864 [ip] => 123.456.789.123 [name] => Kevin [email] => myemail@gmail.com )

Things to note here (and useful for when programming your software) - the submission_id will ALWAYS be unique. You will never see that number again. It can therefore be used as a “Case number” for when someone submits data. e.g. “Thanks for your submission. Your unique reference number is SUBMISSION_ID”.

Ok, so take note of all the names of the array contents (basically ANYTHING inside the square brackets.

In the form example above we would take note of:

submission_id
formID
ip
name
email

Now, you’ll need to create a new database inside youe cpanel account. Create a new database, add your user and give the user all privileges and then launch your phpmyadmin

In there you’ll need to create a new table. Call the table whatever you like, but take note of the table name. Once you do this it will ask you how many columns you want. In our example we want 5. Call each column by the corresponding names above and select VARCHAR and add 1000 to the value (that is if you don’t know what you’re doing).

I’m rushing over the database set up as it’s pretty straight forward, particularly when using the DB creation wizard from within Cpanel. Please ensure to take note of usernames and passwords for the user and database name.

Inside cpanel there’s an option for Remote Database connections - you’ll need to add a wild card option there as your bots will be remotely connecting. So, look for that inside your cpanel account. Also, take note of your IP number of your server.

Some users may experience difficulty with shared accounts here and shared IPs. I have no experience in this as I have a dedicated IP ($1 per month).

Ok so that’s the first step.

Next what we need to do is edit a php file. This is going to take a bit of time to do and quite detailed, however it’s NOT difficult, as long as you edit the right things and delete what’s not needed.

Copy and paste this code into a new text file

<?php
function ExtendedAddslash(&$params)
{
       foreach ($params as &$var) {
           // check if $var is an array. If yes, it will start another ExtendedAddslash() function to loop to each key inside.
           is_array($var) ? ExtendedAddslash($var) : $var=addslashes($var);
           unset($var);
       }
}
// Initialize ExtendedAddslash() function for every $_POST variable
ExtendedAddslash($_POST);

$submission_id = $_POST['submission_id'];
$formID = $_POST['formID'];
$ip = $_POST['ip'];
$name = $_POST['name'];
$email = $_POST['email'];

$db_host = 'localhost';
$db_username = 'changeme';
$db_password = 'changeme';
$db_name = 'changeme';
mysql_connect( $db_host, $db_username, $db_password) or die(mysql_error());
mysql_select_db($db_name);
// search submission ID
$query = "SELECT * FROM `changeme` WHERE `submission_id` = '$submission_id'";
$sqlsearch = mysql_query($query);
$resultcount = mysql_numrows($sqlsearch);
if ($resultcount > 0) {

    mysql_query("UPDATE `changeme` SET
                               `submission_id` = '$submission_id',
                               `formID` = '$formID',
                               `ip` = '$ip',
                               `name` = '$name',
                               `email` = '$email',

                            WHERE `submission_id` = '$submission_id'")
    or die(mysql_error());

} else {
    mysql_query("INSERT INTO `changeme` (submission_id, formID, IP, name, email)
                              VALUES ('$submission_id', '$formID', '$ip', '$name', '$email') ")
    or die(mysql_error());
}
  header( 'Location: http://google.com' ) ;
?>

If you always leave submission_id, formID, IP as they are, you’ll only ever need to change name, email and add any other [array details] to this form. Ensure to add the database connection details to the form above!

However, the above form is ready to run when taking into account the information I used from the initial form submission.

So, save that file as testsubmission.php and upload it again like the last time, to your server. Take note of the URL.

Go back to your form and edit the thank you page - change the custom URL to your new URL.

Submit your form and if all works well it should direct you to Google.com

If it doesnt it will tell you where the error is.

The above information will take you the most time to figure out, particularly if you are new to all this. However, once you master it it’s a great way to integrate a form with a database, which we then integrate with our ubot code!

How I connect and read my data from the form

As long as you’ve got redirected to Google.com you’ve got nearly everything set up and ready to now start integrating your ubot code to your database!

2013-10-25_1129.png

Take a look at the above image.

What you will notice is the query with results part has tablename written there. You will need to replace that with whatever you added as your table name when you set up your database.

Why did I use LIMIT 1?

Well, firstly what it’s doing there is selecting all the data from the tablename form and only the first row. What I do is operate a first row action policy. Whatever information is in the first row gets processed by my software, then that first row gets deleted, moving the row below it up to the top row.

This constant rule of checking JUST the first row allows that if there are multiple submits, only the first row is processed and deleted and then moves onto the next row.

You will need to edit your SQL query to suit what you need to do, however, you won’t need to learn SQL - there’s plenty of “delete first row in database” tutorials on the web, if you need them.

So, once the information from row 1 is added into the &results table, I can then do what I like with the data. Remember, Rows 0,1 and 2 are going to be submission_id, FormID and IP. The other rows are going to be the user inputted data.

How to set up the bots to run 24/7

This took me a while to get fine tuned, but it works now and works well.

I have a Loop While command. EVERYTHING to do with the database and the processing of the results is sitting inside the Loop While. The Loop While is set to a condition that is set when the software is first ran: Set a variable to $true - loop while variable is $true

So, it will continue to loop infinitely as the variable is $true.

Every 15 seconds my bots check the database for any new data. If data appears in the database then it will process it and then add an increment. If there is NO data in the database it obviously doesnt process anything and adds an increment.

I have the increment count up to 100 so I have the bot run in total, 100 times and then it will Shell out to a batch file.

But Kev, you said this bot would run 24/7? Tehcnically this bot in this set up will run 100 times and then a shell script runs and launches a batch file. However, at that moment in time the software isn’t doing anything. So, I say to myself “I want a fresh instance of the bot”. After the shell command to the batch file, I have a Stop Script.

How I handle memory issues

The reason why I had the 100 loop and then shell to a batch file was because I kept running out of memory. The way I worked around this was simple. To shell out to a batchfile that contained the command to START that very same bot again, with an /auto command!

So, as soon as that batch file executed, the original bot came to Stop Script node and simply closed out, meaning I only ever had ONE window of that bot open at any one time. This does mean though that you’ll need to START the initial bot from running the batch file.

Here’s a sample of a batch file command:

"C:\Users\Administrator\Desktop\botname.exe" /auto

(including the quotes)

So, I call that batchfile batch.bat and inside my ubot I use the Shell command and navigate to botname.bat

When that shell command is executed it will run that batch file, which will AUTO start the bot called botname.exe

Since implementing this method I’ve never had memory issues with my software and it runs 24/7.

Things to note

I’ve taken a very simplistic overview of how this whole process works, however, I wanted to ensure that you got the bulk of the technical details at the start to ensure you get the web form integration right. The rest of the information provided is complete however not as detailed. This is simply because you’ll want to make your software do your own things. You might want to schedule it to run on the hour every hour, or once a day, NOT 24/7 like I have.

You may also discover coding bugs along the way. For instance I can tell you that sometimes running a 24/7 bot where the website you’re navigating to may be down. What happens to your bot then? How will you know there’s a problem? You’ll need to discover these things yourself.

I can tell you though that implementing a similar integration to what I’ve outlined above WILL allow you to run your software as a servive. I use this model as often as I can and hardly ever indicate to a client that they can have a desktop application. I’m pushing for a monthly revenue stream as often as possible and this integration allows me that flexibilty. I can also tell you that once you integrate using a web form you are essentially taking away the need to run software on a desktop PC and now your customers can run the service from their iPhones, iPads or god forbid, even a Mac!

About Me

I’m NOT a programmer. I’m a marketer. I make products and sell them to other marketers and to local businesses. I’ve been using ubot for about 2 years and can tell you that once I started using the SaaS model in my business I was able to increase my monthly revenue and close more sales simply because I could run demonstrations from my iPad, the client’s iPad or Smart phone, whatever! I didn’t need to lug a laptop with me, or rely on an internet connection. Also, I didn't want to give away the software tools - I wanted to hold onto them, having total control yet giving the customer what they needed. If they don’t pay, I simply disable their web form!

Don’t Give Up!

If you’re new to ubot stick at it! So many buy it and don’t do anything with it then find fault with ubot. Ubot does exactly what I need it to do. If it doesn't do what you need FIND ANOTHER WAY inside ubot! People assumed bots can only be ran on Windows PCs. Well, I’ve just outlined a detailed plan to get bots running on any device. You just need to come up with the ideas!

Ask questions. Learn from other questions posted. Try contribute to other people’s questions and all the while develop on what you know - making things run better and better each time.

Here's a screenshot I just took from inside my jotform account with three forms belonging to the same project. Check the volume of submits for them and the software handles everything flawlessly.

Try out a real working form!

#49560 My Picasso Bot automates Windows Paint

Posted by UBotBuddy on 02 March 2012 - 12:17 PM

It's been a while and I did make the promise to one member in here but I have finally done it!

I revisited UBot v3 and re-created my bot that controls Microsoft paint. Doing it in v4 is not quite there yet.

For those of you that never believed that I could do it.

Watch this video.

http://screencast.com/t/J8lY5Jj2hn5

If anyone wants this bot then it is a first come first serve

Awww Heck! If you ask for it in here then I will send it to via a PM.

REMEMBER! This is an as is bot.

I run two monitors and my primary monitor is set to 1280 x 800. I am also running Windows 7 Enterprise so my MS Paint may differ from yours.

I set my image to 1030 x 604.

I am also running UBot Studio Developer v3.x. I make full use of those nodes so if it does not work for you then I am truly sorry. I will not be able to help you.

Just make sure the image in MS Paint is unsaved. before you hit the run button in UBot.

While you may laugh at this bot just know that I have used UBot to automate other applications in my Windows environment so the possibility is there. You just need to think outside of the box.

In my opinion, this would give WinAutomation a run for its money if features of v4 were added to it. BUT that is my opinion.

If you have any question just ask me in here and be patient because my work load comes first.

OH! And before I forget. Look at this. http://screencast.com/t/LRj7nF5Tl If you give me a +Click then I will make sure you get this bot.

YES, I will do anything for a Click. LOL ;)

#14639 Have Patience...

There probably as many rant posts here as there is question and answer posts regarding ubot.

Give yourself time and permission to make mistakes when learning how to program with ubot. Truly it's a pretty powerful little package shortcutting a difficult job - automating web pages.

I've personally tried and purchased several programs that promised this feat, but ubot is the only one close to full delivery!

Here's the rub for you though. You have to learn rudimentary programming. There's no way around it. You will come in at a particular level of 'expertise' and that's where you start. Some will know less then nothing and other's will have written highly complexed programs in the past.

It really doesn't matter. What does matter is you give yourself permission and time to make mistakes! Yes, second time said. Here's my personal recommendation.

The tutorials that are here, and if you search youtube, I've put a few up. Step through them. Be a monkey at the mouse. Just follow along. Make mistakes. Change things around. Start to understand what the heck is going on.

Little by little, it will come. Will it be frustrating? YES! Can you get through it and make some pretty snazzy bots? YES!

Whenever you get stuck, don't be afraid to ask a question here. The ubot team and the community of users here are extremely helpful. Don't get upset with someone if they don't reply right away. Believe it or not, some of us get several personal messages from people every day! That's ok. But be patient.

But don't just quit when things get tough and you don't have an answer. Probably about 90% of the time, I end up answering my own questions, lol. But that's ok! I end up learning 10 times more because of it.

Also, don't be afraid if you get stuck to look at other places on the internet. For example, if you don't understand the proper use of an 'while' statement, google it. Read a few pages. Ubot isn't creating a new style of programming. They are simplifying what is already there.

Oh, and pick projects to try. Probably one of the most helpful things I did was to choose something to automate and just do it! For example, I'm currently creating a bot to deal with web 2.0 sites. I've just about completely automated squidoo. And squidoo is a toughy. Lot's of javascript!

That brings up a good point too. I'd recommend learning the basics of html and after, javascript. Can I program in javascript - nope. But do I know enough to deal with it - yup. But learn html first! Webmasters are making it extremely hard to automate their sites, but as many here have shown, if there's a will there's a way!

Best of luck and remember to give yourself permission to learn. Have patience with ubot and uself! ;)
